John F. Kennedy - Ulcerative Colitis

It has recently been made known that former President John F. Kennedy was on several prescription medications for his ulcerative colitis. His back surgeries and pain due to Addison's Disease - a condition which is caused by the glands in the body not producing Cortisol, and therefore resulting in adrenaline deficiency.

President Kennedy was in fact quite a sickly fellow, having several back surgeries which did not help his chronic pain, osteoporosis, and bone fractures. His ulcerative colitis was diagnosed at age 17, but he is said to have been ill from the time when he reached the age of 13 all the way until his death.

John J. York - Ulcerative Colitis

John J. York is best known for his role as Mac Scorpio on the television show General Hospital, a popular daytime soap opera on ABC. York is a spokesman for the CCFA - the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and has recently recorded Public Service Announcements for the organization.

York was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at age 17. Although his first goal in life was to be a collegiate football player, which his colitis stopped him from doing, he has had a successful acting career, appearing in such other shows as 21 Jump Street and Family Ties.

Joe Rogan - Crohn's Disease

Joe Rogan is a controversial comedian and actor who has starred on the television reality show "Fear Factor" and as a commentator for the Ultimate Fighting Championship series. He is an active trainee in various martial arts including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Rogan has criticized several other comedians such as Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook and Denis Leary, claiming that they have plagiarized the comedic works of others. He has been banned from well-known comedy club The Comedy Store for past outbursts related to these claims.

Substances including marijuana and psychadelic mushrooms are openly supported by Rogan, both in his personal life and in his comedy act. Rogan is less vocal that many others about the fact that he is living with crohns disease, but he is nonetheless reported to have been diagnosed with the condition at some point in the past.

Anastacia Kirkland - Crohn's Disease

Having released two albums that have gone 42x Platinum, Anastacia has been living with crohns disease ever since she was 13 years old. She has seen international success as a singer on Epic Records, winning a World Music Award for Best New Artist.

Anastacia underwent surgery for her Crohn's disease at age 13, and had breast cancer at age 29, but has continued to maintain her pop stardom even with the setbacks caused by her struggles with these diseases. She has seen the release of her own clothing line and perfume fragrance, and her ailments have not stopped her from touring the world in support of her music.

Dwight D. Eisenhower - Crohn's Disease

Former President of the United States (the 34th President, to be precise) who served two presidential terms from 1953 to 1961, and a general in the United States Army. Eisenhower rose to the rank of five-star general and became a hero of the people when he was put in charge of Operation Overlord, and the successful D-Day landing at Normandy and eventual invasion of France and Germany.

In the summer of 1956, Dwight Eisenhower was found to be living with crohns disease, which was classified as ileitis at the time, and underwent resective surgery in July. He was re-elected that fall and began his second term as president the following January.
